Have you ever wonder why Buddhist monks and people are rotating their Prayer Wheel while travelling in temples of Kathmandu. A cylindrical wheel on a spindle made from metal, wood and stone is a religious Buddhist ritual object. The Prayer wheel carries vast meaning in Buddhism. Inside the Prayer Wheel, the mantra “Om Mani Padme Hum” which is written in Sanskrit are stored. The wheel is supposed to turn in clockwise direction, which is regarded as blessings.
